iPhone 11 Pro Was the mute switch redesigned?

I just got an 11 Pro case. It fits my XS nearly perfectly (aside from the camera obviously) but the the mute switch is a bit off. I thought there were rumors of a redesign where the motion would be up/down not left/right. But from Apple’s promo shots it doesn’t look redesigned. Has anyone mentioned if it was?

It seems that just the location has been changed slightly.
