Washed out colours

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro, and noticed flickering lines across the screen every time I turned it on from sleep mode. I took it to the apple store, and they arranged a delivery of a replacement which I received today.

Right away, I noticed that the colours on the screen of the replacement are really washed out. I have both laptops side by side and there is a huge difference! I have checked the contrast adjustments/brightness, etc and they are all on the same settings. Any clues as to why the big difference?

This was my first mac laptop purchase, and I don't seem to be having much luck so far!

If you can, could you post a picture of the two laptops with the screens on full brightness!

Try downloading a color profile for your screen. There's at least two or three recent threads on how to find out which one you've got, and what profile people recommend.

I've got the LG one, and the profile helped a bunch. Good luck.

Ya i would say that the right one is washed out, i bet it has to do with different lcd screen manufactures.
