I have an AT&T iPhone with an unlimited dataplan.

Didn't AT&T recently announce that they were going to release the restrictions on FaceTime over cellular, so that unlimited data plan users could also use FaceTime?

Does this require an iPhone 5 to work? Because it does't work with my 4s.

Carrier Update

I think the newest AT&T carrier update (which I got yesterday, not the one for emergency alerts last week) activates this for the Unlimited Plan Users. There is an On-Off toggle under Settings->Facetime.

Note that the default seems to be "On", and I do have a 5.

In reviewing the AT&T press release for this - it does specifically state that this is for LTE only areas.

As the iPhone 5 is the only iPhone which can reach AT&T's LTE grid, it is only available on the iPhone 5.

Thank you for the response.
