Could the new firmware come out tomorrow? If I remember correctly, the last major update before 2.0 came out January 20th 2008 (version 1.1.3)... nearly a year ago. Could this mean anything?

Tomorrow Apple will release the inauguration celebration firmware upgrade. It will contain support for running tasks in the background, copy/paste, push email, IOW everything anyone has ever asked for. Apple's goal is to emulate the new administration which will give everything to everyone, except for people earning more than $250,000 (or $200,00 or $120,000 or...). It will take almost everything from them and give them a Pre.

But seriously, who knows.

Wait a minute...01212009 adds up to 15. 15 times 4 is 60. If you subtract 7 from 60 you get Steve Jobs age. Yes, yes. Tomorrow is the day. It is, it is. I know it is.

Usually when I connect my iPhone to iTunes I get message...'your iPhone software is up to date. iTunes will automatically check for an update again..." and the date to check again is at least a week out. However the 20th is still listed as the date to check for an update....maybe there is an update coming tomorrow.
