Wasn't my graphics card supposed to be upgraded to 512mb after RAM installation?

Isn't the graphics card supposed to upgrade 512mb when RAM is upgraded to 8GB in the 2011 MBP? It worked for my old 13in(2011) but I've noticed my 15in didn't change.. Normal?

That is only for the intel 3000HD, and even then, one would not notice an performance improvement from the increased video ram, as that is not what the bottleneck is on that graphics card.
