so last time i had an iPhone was way back when the 3G was out, and you had to buy it outright. I remember there were two colors, the glossy black (that scratched easily) and the white one - which EVERYONE loved.

Now 8-9 years later, i find it funny that the jet black is the most popular one. Same thing happened with MacBook back in the day - same with Xbox and so on.

I may just go Master P and get the gold one.

The iPhone 3G was when Apple started with "$199" subsidized phones. It was only the original iPhone that didn't tie you to a 2-year contract (initial pricing was $499 4GB and $599 8GB).

Also, I thought they introduced white with the 3GS?
