On my Apple Watch Activity tracker - (the three ring app icon) paired with the activity app on the watch (little green running man).

I'm addicted to trying to make shapes - I can not figure out what the green/red/yellow colors indicate on the workout map location/route tracker?

Thanks
Irie J

PS - Happy Thanksgiving!

I believe those are your relative speeds with green being the fastest sections, and Red the slowest.

I’m sure that’s right. Definitely corresponds to the places I take walking breaks or cool down. And the bright green is me sprinting down hills.

I never considered that was what they meant. I always thought that the colors were based on intensity of the workout. Red being the most effort and green being the least.

I tend to think it’s speed because when I’m killing myself running pitifully up a hill, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t give me bright green for that.. just my speedy but easier downhills. I’ll pay closer attention next time.
