Hi Everyone,

I'm quite certain this must have been asked before, but I had trouble coming up with much so here goes:

For those of you who are watch guys/gals (WIS), what lead you to the Apple Watch and how does it get along with your collection now?

I have a watch box (has my initials on it, compliments of my Missus), and it holds around 24 watches. Currently, it mainly has Invicta watches in it.
But, being the gadget person that I am, I had to try the Apple Watch. Albeit, I did not join the party till AW3SS.

The sad thing is, I mainly now only wear my Apple Watch. However, prior to April 2020, I rotated as many watches as I could, while travelling to the office. But, along came Covid19, along with redundancies. And, well, here we are...

I’m a runner and was a Garmin disciple for almost 10 years. When the watch came out with LTE, I really wanted it as a safety net because I often run alone and once DST hits, in the dark. I’m now all in on the watch, having gotten used to the day to day smartwatch uses like texts and weather. I did think the GPS on my S4 kinda sucked, but the GPS on the S6 is really accurate so far.

I just love watches in general. I have a decent collection of mechanical watches. When Apple launched the watch back in 2015, I wanted to be part of that ‘digital world’ where I could still have the whole Dick Tracy experience on my wrist, but yet still wear my mechanical watches. The Apple Watch really is one of the most amazing products in their lineup, but what makes it so unique is the band switching.
