Watch already scratched from normal wear

Am I out of luck in switching this out? I've had it for only 5 weeks and I already notice three very noticeable scratches in the bottom left corner. I know I should have had a scree protector on it from the get go..but I really didn't expect it to be scratched up this soon. Has anyone had any luck returning them? I already ordered the screen protectors to prevent any further damage. I'm hoping those might hide the scratches already there..even if a little bit.
I love the watch, this is really the only incredibly disappointing aspect of it.

The Sport has the same Ion-X glass as the iPhone, meaning it's just as scratchable. You simply had an unrealistic expectation, as people expect them on the iPhone and many use a screen protector as a result.

Get the SS model if you don't want to worry about obvious scratches (although the oleophobic coating will still scratch but they're not normally visible unless under certain lights).
