I heard a rumor that Amazon.com is going to offer a preorder special on Snow Leopard.

That is Apple's up-to-date deal which won't apply to everyone.

I find it hard to buy that Amazon won't offer much more than a few dollars off if they offer anything at all. They did offer a 10 dollar discount to Leopard, but that was off the full price $129.

Well, they also don't charge tax for most states. But tax on $30 isn't going to break anyone's bank. Maybe they'll have some sort of special 10.6 + iLife bundle or something that Apple isn't offering?
