Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction. In my living room I have an Apple TV but no aerial point. In a back room somewhere I have an aerial point but no TV. I am looking for a device to take that tv input and send it over to my Apple TV using the internal Wi-Fi network.

I looked at HD Home Run devices but these need an Ethernet connection and Powerline adapters don’t work great in this house due to the ancient wiring.

Anyone know of something that would fit the bill?

If you use Plex on a computer, or a small set of other supported devices, you can use their TV and DVR service to watch live tv on any Plex client. All you need is a supported tv tuner device for your computer or nas.

Another option, if you’re in the U.K. at least, would be to use something like the TV Player app from the AppStore which is basically free view for iOS devices. No extra hardware needed. But there is a small subscription to access some channels.

Look into getting some kind of WiFi repeater with an ethernet point, connect HDHome run to that? I think Plex still needs a tuner, such as an HDHomerun and server on a computer or NAS to run.
