Anyone seen a dropoff in the battery on their watch using 16.0.2?

I have a S5 on 9.0 paired with a new iPhone 14 Pro. I've not been to happy with the battery levels on the 14 but up until today the battery on the Watch has been great, even through the Betas.

Today however the watch has just hit 38% after coming off charge at approx 10am - so that's 5.5 hours. I installed 16.0.2 last night.

Normally I only need the one charge to go all the way though to 7:30am with Sleep tracking enabled. Depending on what is happening the next morning I might charge before bed instead.

Thoughts?

That's bad news. Please keep us posted.
Did a hard reset and it seems to have slowed. Hit 8% by 8pm, so 30% over the next 5 hours. Now charging and we'll see how it goes.

My partner reminds me that she does occasionally see rapid drains on her S3, particularly when away from home. So it may not be 16.0.2

Just to update. Watch has been stable since the first day, so either just conincidence, or possibly something triggered by the updgrade that worked it's way out following reboot.

My 14 Pro on the other hand is still shocking.

FWIW - I don't know if it was WatchOS 9 or an iOS 16 update, but one or both have increased the battery life significantly on my dinosaur Series 4. I was thinking of replacing it, but can probably get another year. Thanks, apple!
