Watch can't locate Iphone

The wife charged both her watch and phone last night, this morning the watch is showing, "cannot locate iphone". She tried to pair the watch again and the QR reader wouldn't allow her to scan the watch. She tried to pair manually and it's asking for a six (6) digit code and she is only getting a five (5) digit code that isn't working. Anyone run into this or have any suggestions? She's frustrated... Thanks in advance for your help!

Did you verify BT was still enabled on the phone? How about restarting the phone and or the watch?

I had already left the house when she noticed the problem. I suggested she turn the BT off then back on again on the phone. She sent me a message a moment ago that simply said, "I fixed it". Not sure how, I'll post what she did later in case anyone else has the same issue. Thanks for your quick reply!!
