I've been a fan of DarkSky from day one and yesterday evening I added their DarkSky complication to my watch face. So far haven't seen any significant battery drain on the watch. And almost seems identical to the native weather app (hasn't rained here so far).

Anyone of you guys seeing any significant battery drain from having complications loaded on the watch face? Any particular apps to be concerned with?

Trying to weigh in the want and ease of information from having a complication on watch face vs battery life.

Thanks

Only one 3rd party complication loaded, Dark Sky as well. I've noticed no change in battery life as well.

Thank you for your reply.

Same here, only DarkSky loaded as a complication and you are right, haven't noticed any significant battery drain.

Depends if the app is native or not. If it's native, the battery life should be good. Else, it'll be constantly pinging your smartphone.

I'm running Dark Sky and Sky Guide moonphase complications and battery is good as ever.

I have Dark Sky and Fantastical 2 and so far the battery drain seems to be the same.

Funny you mention Dark Sky. In the early days of complications in watchOS, Dark Sky's was a little misbehaved and could run down the battery. The developer made some fixes pretty quickly and it's been good since then.
