Watch face turns off when I receive a text notification

Anyone else seeing this? I have two watches paired with my iPhone: 1) Series 5 (GPS + Cellular) and 2) Series 6 (GPS + Cellular). When I wear the S6, every time I receive a Messages notification and raise my wrist, the watch face turns off. I'm running watchOS 7.1 beta 2.

Does it occur on a publicly available watchOS?

You might get better answers about beta software on the Apple Developers forums also.
