I drive a lot of different places during the day and whenever I drive the apple watch incorrectly increases my step count by hundreds of steps. I also noticed this when I took a regional train.

I am very serious about keeping stats on my exercise and this is throwing off my numbers. I am not burning 390 calories during my commute(I wish).

Apart from turning on an activity in the workout app is there a way to stop this insanity.

It pretty makes the health app useless as the daily/weekly/monthly rings are incorrect.

Why can't apple watch be smart enough to discount movement faster than 5-60 mph as not walking.

Heck, maybe if it noticed I was "walking" at 50 mph and my pulse didn't was at 75bpm it would state I was probably in a car.

Or in REALLY good shape!
