If you have cable, your provider may have an app. I have FiOS, and Verizon offers live streaming via the Verizon Mobile app for quite a few channels.

I have comcast and they do have an app, but it doesn't seem to allow you to watch live tv. it allows you to use iPad a remote and to watch streaming on demand content


I did discover Elgato's eyetv mobile device, but apparently its not sold in us. Plus I would need the version with lightning port
