Can't wait to take my new iPad into the nature.. Oscar Academy Awards... to take some snapshots.. 😬

I'm glad they showed the unboxing just to show it's just like unboxing previous iPad models. Solid work.

Exactly this! It's great to enjoy a new product but really it's like my buying a new, near identical model of car but now with a V8 engine rather than a 2.0L 4-pot.

It however still only has a 1st & 2nd gear.

I’ll wait. They’re already producing M2 chips, right?
Who said anything about putting M2 into an iPad?
If Apple keeps on being Apple, then you will see next CPU update somewhere in autumn 2022 or even the beginning of 2023, no? It certainly won't be "M2" at that point or whatever it's called.

So, as I understand, the battery life, if not watching HDR content with boosted 1000-1600 nit brightness should be the same as with previous 2018/2020 12.9 Pros? Plus, with so many apps open and ready+16GB probably consuming slightly more?

Either way looks like I made the right choice for starters by ordering M1 12.9 :)

Can anybody save me the hell of looking through those videos and tell if which if any test the screen for blooming? I want to see how bad/noticable it is.

I want it to be bad and save myself two grand! :p
I think one guy said it is there but its not noticable, you have to really look for it. You can only see it if you're doing the dimming test (or playing pong) but he said it was fairly hard to distinguish between OLED. He did mention something about a weird pillow impact on the kindle app when in dark mode but its likely software. I suppose you may have to go in store and try it out... The vast majority of them showed a comparison between mini led and lcd but they mentioned you cant tell on camera. Kind of like watching an advert for super duper amazing OLED tv on a crappy TV, you can really see it

Some of those video splash screens are so atrocious I'd never go further and look at the content.

I, myself, enjoy unboxing videos. What I don’t understand is how some vloggers will unbox the same device/hardware but with different colors. Was it necessary for iJustine to be sent EVERY color of the iMac to unbox? No.

What’s even worse is when some vloggers will do a video of two or more unboxings of the same device, and the only difference between them are the internals.

"Hey, everyone. This is TechNet, and today we are going to be doing a couple of unboxings. I have here the Space Gray M1 MacBook Air base model -- AND I'm also unboxing another Space Gray base M1 MacBook Air, but this one is completely different. This one has 16gb of ram!"

I am a bit disappointed of the reaction of the iPad display. I guess the XDR display is just a boring monitor that only a Final Cut Pro person with tons of video experience might be able to notice under a magnifying glass.
