Watch Notification Question

Is there an easy way to know what notification or item makes the red dot come on? I can not tell if it's for a text, email, etc since nothing shows on the bubble menu screen to show a particular app needs your attention.

When you see the red dot on the watch face...pull down from the top to see Notification Center.

Or you can pull up from bottom to see glances.

There is. Just posted a few days ago. Go to iBooks. Books, not pdf's and on iPad at bottom top charts and type in watch in search. 147 pages on my iPad.
