Watch notifications when phone screen is on?

Hey guys,

First post so please be gentle. I just recently jumped ship from Android to iPhone. I don't know what took so long. Anyway, I have a habit of leaving my phones screen on. I've searched high and low but I can't find the answer - is there any way I can get notifications on my watch when my phone screen is on? It's a pain because I miss most of my notifications since only my phone gets notifications when the screen is on.

Doesn't seem to be a way to get notifications on the watch with the phone unlocked. The best you could probably do is change the Auto-Lock time in the iPhone's Settings to 30 Seconds, that way your phone will be locked relatively quickly when you step away from using it.

Anyway, I have a habit of leaving my phones screen on.

This habit is counter productive and abnormal. The basic logic is if the phone is unlocked then you’re actively using it. Otherwise you’re wasting resources. Either Change your habit or change the auto lock time as mentioned by @MacManiac76
