Watch os 3 stuck after update

After the 4 hour download of watch os 3, the install has been stuck on the screen where the apple logo is in the middle of the watch and all of the ticks have completed around the circle. It's been this way for 45 minutes and not budging. The phone can no longer find the paired watch. Botched update or ridiculously slow? Any thoughts?

mine is showing 4 hours to download :\ did yours really take that long to just download?

It did take that long to download. I have very fast wifi at home but the servers are slammed.

My download says it will take 2 days! I have very fast cable download speed too.

took 1:50, thats a long one. Mine was stuck on the apple for a bout 10 min at the end. all apps seem to work now. many are updated.

Similar situation here. It finally downloaded, took all afternoon, but now it won't bring up any apps. Like mail just a spinning circle. Now it just says "mail" in the left top corner. Tried the Nike running app. Same thing, spinning circle.

I had that same problem and I did a hard restart of my watch now it works.

I just did a hard restart and now it seems to be working, but the first time launching each app is very slow. Seems fine when I go to open something that's already been launched the first time. Also, I have noticed the battery is draining fast. Will see if that eases up.

Mine is saying three days to update? Really? And it keeps pausing.

Im not updating my watch until Friday or Saturday for this very reason lol

Why does it take so long to update? Update the iPhone seemed much faster by comparison.

mine said 5 hours to download and i left the house for an hour and came back its now down to 10 minutes lol

I restarted the watch and it sorted itself out.
