Just bought an almost new S1 running watch os3! Wow amazing battery life , smooth graphics and snappy compared to the S0 which has been running 4 and all the betas..
Then upgraded to 4.1. Now its become a power hugvery monster that wants to drain the battery before my eyes. I did think my Series 0 needed a battery replacement.
Seems not its 4.1
Anyone know if they intend to fix it? somehow for older models?
What is the OS doing so different to WOS3. ? Tracking heart rate? notification spikes? but wasn't it doing that before. or is it just bad code, early days with the software or planned obsolescence !
If the new software isnt optimised for earlier watch versions it shouldn't be recomended.
Still confused watching the battery drop in minutes on S0 & previously fantastic S1!
But on the S3, set up the same isnt even dropping 1% in hours
((( What is going on.
It seems like there is a pattern, of new device amazing two day battery life, eg 7plus. Then one year on you get a day use. Fuelling the need to upgrade. Then it repeats, a new device, new iOS and a battery that seems to last forever, until its slowly eroded away thought the year.
Softare updates are becoming something to avoid. Especially for older devices. Watching grandma's iPad 2 slowly crawl to a death with each update is the extreme, but still disheartening to say the least
