watch pair with phone distance has decreased ?

When I am at work, my phone is on my desk and if I walk anywhere else in the dept more than 20 feet or so , I no longer am connected to me phone? My alarm will go off on my phone but my watch doesn't show it? just started doing this recently..

I can go 60 feet outside my house without my iPhone and still maintain a strong connection. I have had Apple watches since watch S0 and I haven’t noticed any degradation of connectivity with any of my watches.

Same here. I’ve gotten disconnects from about 15-20 feet outdoors with line of sight.
