Watch series 7 using latest watchOS.
I wear my watch for sleeping and I’m seeing it record ‘stand’ for the early hours of the day(night).
e.g. last night it recorded midnight/1/2/ , watch put on charge when I showered then stand recorded as normal.
NO, I definitely didn’t get up for a bathroom visit so any ideas ?

Are you moving your wrist around or rolling a lot while you’re sleeping? I noticed if I wanted to fill my stand ring without getting my lazy butt off the couch, I can just shake my wrist for a minute.

Could well be, then finally settle hence no more ‘stand’. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have an opposite problem: sometimes when I’m watching TV it records sleeping even if I watch entire movies without sleeping.

They call the fitness goal "stand", but that's not really what it measures. I'm sure I'm not the only person who occasionally gets notifications at 50 minutes after the hour reminding me to stand, despite the fact that I'm already on my feet.

With Apple's recent smartwatches with the four core neural engine, I'd imagine it wouldn't be much of a challenge for the watch to differentiate between actually getting up and walking around vs. rolling around in bed or just moving your arms around a bit. But I guess the product planners at Apple thought it would be a bigger selling point to recognize signs of sleep apnea than it would to keep people from cheating on closing their rings...
