Hi all

I have my Mac set to unlock when I am wearing my watch. I've recently upgraded from a series 2 to a series 3 and I am finding that the series 3 unlocks the Mac a lot less reliably than the series 2 did. Even with my arm a few inches from the Mac it will often fail to unlock and simply ask me for my password (or fingerprint) instead. In the same situation, the series 2 watch unlocked the Mac very reliably.

However, since moving the series 2 to series 3, there has been a new version of Watch OS and Mac OS released, so it could be one of these that has caused the problem.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Many thanks

M.

Maybe due to you having both watches ... only the initial or primary watch is the one that is set to work.

Hello, I only have one watch, the series 3. I had to turn the option back on again to unlock the Mac with my watch after I got the new watch. The series 2 is sold and gone.
