The thing is that before doing the clean installation of 18.2, with the same shortcut it did notify me with sound and the watch vibrated when my iPhone reached 80% charge. The shortcut in question is the one you can see on many YT channels: When the battery level is 80%-->automation (immediate), notify when executed (on), Action (read text with voice).

Now with the same shortcut it only notifies me on the watch (10.6.1) but as in the background, it does not make the beep or the vibration of the notification, it simply stays in the notification center without announcing it and if I am not checking it continuously I lose the notification and it is very annoying. Other notifications such as messages, calls and payments with apple pay do sound and vibrate on my wrist.

My wife has a 13 mini (18.2) and a Watch SE 2gen and she gets the relevant notification from the mentioned shortcut without any problem.

I have gone through all the settings that may be involved in this behavior on both the watch and the iPhone one by one and I can't find the solution. Any suggestions please?

Very weird issue. I can't replicate it on my iPhone 15 Pro Max / watch S8, both on latest OS versions.

However, I do have a suggestion for an automation that would ensure you would not miss when the phone reaches 80%. It might be a bit too aggressive, in that it forces you to dismiss the timer.

But yes, one of the options in automation is to start the timer. So you can make an automation to start the timer when the phone battery reaches 80%, set timer duration to 1 second, set the automation to run immediately. And now your timer goes off when the iPhone is at 80% battery and keeps going until you dismiss the timer.

Thanks, I'll try it. But the idea I'm pursuing is that the watch somehow notifies me when it reaches that level of charge.
