Watch video/screen on TV but use the iPad as speakers?

I want to buy some wireless headphones but had a question if its possible to play sound through your ipad while watching movies using AirPlay? Every time i go in the video app and select a movie it just streams it the ATV. I have no option to turn on sound or anything.

If anyone can help that would be great, sure a few others would like to know too. Also, any good suggestions on wireless headphones?

The ickle iPad speaker sucks.

I hope Paddy3 has dual speakers.

It may not be possible to send wireless sound to two devices, TV & headphones. Have you tried plugging regular headphones into the iPad?

What did Apple say when you called them?
