watching a movie

Hello!
I really need some help with my MAC I'm a new user of ''the mac thing'' it's seems really complicated to me.
Here is the problem.My friend send me a movie through skype and I can't watch it. It's saying that I need to install Quick Time but I already have it.
Please guys help me I don't know what to do. I can't install a program named BITCOMET because when I first installed it the thing opened it with IPhoto and I can't understand anything. So please anybody help me I have no idea what to do.

ummm as far as the quicktime first try software update click on the apple in the upper left corner then click software update if a newer version isnt out or doesn't work...tell me the file type as far as bitcomet did you I would recomend trying Azureus instead because I don't know about iphoto opening it i can't imagine how that would happen. Anyway if you need anymore help or if this post isnt clear just tell me.
