I have a new aluminium macbook pro with 10.5.6 ( also had this problem with 10.5.5)
Now, on my older macbook pro i used to be able to watch any videos i have on my NAS via wifi to the macbook pro just fine.
On this mac it now seems to get 'hitches' where sometimes every 5 seconds or maybe every 20 (seems random) the video will stop and sound will carry on, then the video rushes to catch up.
I get this same problem in VLC, quicktime and Mplayer.
i have an airport express running at 802.11n 2.4Ghz which i connect to at 145M currently and an airport extreme basestation running at 802.11n 5ghz which i connect to at around 240M.
If i go into bootcamp it plays just fine.
I checked system monitor and the cpu does not spike during this time but the network traffic will say 0 then spike at the same time as the hitches.
I dont get dropouts during wifi normally, downloading from the net always stays at a constant rate.
any ideas?
