With a £6 subscription and my status as a new graduate, the Sky Sports package is very attractive... If only I could watch it at 13" instead of 3.5".

Any ideas? I know there is no iPhone emulator (though the need for one has just increased ever so slightly).

It's amazin', if only i could watch it on a bigger screen (... it would be much more expensive :()

you will need to signup to the following link with your viewing card but heres the PC/mac version: http://skyplayer.sky.com/

it's free to watch as long as you signup with valid sky card but it's limited to what packages your signed up to....... if you don't have sky sports you cant watch sky sports

Unfortunately I don't have a viewing card. I only have the SkyMobile app and sports subscription limited to the app.

Solved! For those interested:

1. Download "Landscape TV Out" from the big boss repo (free)

2. Download Videoglide http://www.echofx.com/videoglide.html

3. Buy an AV Input to USB 2.0 converter on their supported hardware list (I'm buying an EasyCap) from your favourite online auction place.

4. Enjoy watching Sky Sports on your laptop for just £6 a month!!!

If you want to splash out you could by an eyetv AV Input adapter for £90 but there's really no point...

Enjoy!

or alternatively, use the Landscape Tv-out app and the Apple Video/out cable, hook your iPhone up to your tv, and watch Sky Sports on the BIG screen

Is it possiable to watch skymobile on a standard monitor?

As long as it's connected to a computer you can do it through the USB using the method stated above.

You can search for some kind of AV to VGA adapter. My monitor came with TV. The TV was just a box attached on the back, it had AV in to VGA out. You can probably track that thing down on eBay, mine's made by advent. Failing that I'd sell you mine for a tenner.

Looks like these easycap devices wont work...as ive only got DVI/VGA inputs on my monitor

That looks like exactly what you need! And what a bargain! Very simple. I read somewhere that it was difficult to convert the signal and necessitated complicated circuitry... But apparently not.

Ok cool, cheers.

Just hoping there with some hack for skymobile so you dont have to pay for it once the three months is up :D
