Watching streaming TV on a Mac

When I had a PC there were loads of softwares one could use to watch tv from around the world - such as PPMate.

It's the only thing I miss about the PC.

Does anyone know of a suitable tool for the Mac? I personally used it for watching the Premier League matches that are broadcast on saturday / sunday in Spain etc
