are people so freaked out about using AT&T minutes on a facetime call.....Seriously??? If you're using facetime in the US......you've established a call with another AT&T subscriber. Those minutes DON'T count against your allotment anyways.

And yes, the call goes to wi-fi......But does the whole call go to wi-fi, or does the voice part stay on minutes, and then the video get shipped over wi-fi. Either way, it's an AT&T call to another AT&T subscriber....

This could potentially be an issue if the iPhone gets onto another carrier.....Or if you call a jailbroken iPhone 4. But until then.....fogedddaboutit.......
 
It's been confirmed that during FaceTime your AT&T minutes are not being used in the background - it is all WiFi.

Why do you assume its ATT to ATT. Can US customers not make wifi Facetime calls to people in the UK? To Canada? etc
