Hi alll,
I'm going to my first MacWorld in January and I was wondering how I could guarantee that I get a seat to watch the Steve Jobs Keynote live.
I have a ticket which entitles me to get in but I heard that its on a first come first serve basis and that any extra people will go into a side room and watch it on TV.

Of course I want to be in the room, if possible close to the stage. How early should I be waiting in line? Please share your "Stevenote" stories.

So who's going to the Stevenote?

So who's going to the Stevenote? Tips?

I'm thinking of getting in line around 6am... is that too early?

I wouldn't think six AM is too early.
heck, I'd grab my PB and camp out overnight.

Just watch out, TAKE PICS, don't get trampled when the stampede goes in, TAKE PICS, and remember to TAKE SOME PICS and share!
(you can take pics right? I always see the camera flashes during keynotes... so take some pics.)

Ooo... Have fun. I'd LOVE to be there. SF is the greatest city ever.

2 hours early will almost certainly get you in, but not near the front... Get there 3+ hours early.

At least 1 second if you are with a parent, at least 16 if you are not with a parent.

... If only a PowerBook's battery would go past 3/4 hours...

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll definitely be there @ 6 then... maybe earlier.

Where's the lineup? It's my first time @ the Moscone Center. Actually, the website doesn't even say where the keynote is held!

Ok! This is going to be RAZOR THIN timing!

I arrive in SF @ 6:36PM on Jan 9th (the night before the Keynote). I need to be at the Moscone Center to pick up my pass before 8PM or I'll have to do it in the morning which will pretty much guarantee I can't wait in line and won't get in.

If anybody has had any experiences attending a keynote, please share them with us here.

Any common mistakes?
Any secret tips?

I'll be there working the show but I don't have a pass to the keynote. I wish I did but...I guess it's not that big of a deal.
