Ok I've been looking around and most of the information I find on the internet is out of date.

So here goes...

Is there a way I can watch HD Direct TV on my Mac while I work? Like in a window that I can keep on top. I don't need my mac to be a dvr or any of that stuff. I just want to be able to plug it in through my Mac and watch high def in a window or full screen.

Does anyone know if this is possible? I don't even care about switching the channels. I just want to watch TV while I work in photoshop on the beautiful 30" Cinema I have and not be forced to spend more money to have a little TV here on my desk.

I was looking at some of EyeTV's stuff but I worry about the ability to put HD through it since they are setup more for a OTA/DVR role of your mac.

Anyone done anything like this or can point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Would go to www.dbstalk.com and look there. They have several posters with good Mac backgrounds. I know DTV is working on viewing your recorded shows on the PC but do not know about Mac integration.
