iPhone 16 Pro Max Watching videos and the Dynamic Island pill.

I have question for the owners of the iPhone 16 pro max.

One of the things that is making me keep the iPhone 13 Pro Max is because the notch is small and perfectly placed on the very top and does not intrude while watching a wide aspect ratio youtube video.

Ones done by Marquez’s brownlee for instance. On iPhone 15 pro max the pill would take a little space into the video.

The iPhone 16 pro max got taller and I’m wondering if that took care of the problem or does the pill still take space from those kind of videos?

I watch too many videos on my iPhone and don’t like pills or notches in the way.

Still happy to keep my 13 pro max for another year as it’s perfectly fine but I can always go for larger screens.

The video borders on the native Apple TV + and some Apps, but not all, will not extend before the edge of the pill for Dynamic Island. The black edges of a video will hide the Dynamic Island, no matter the ratio though it will not extend into that area. Like I mentioned the majority of apps are optimized for That feature
