I was just wondering if it's alright to watch videos in 4:3 ratio given that our OLED displays can suffer from "uneven wear" because not all the pixels are used in instances like watching videos not in fullscreen / streched.

You could argue the same for different widescreen ratios with the black bars top and bottom.
I wouldn’t even worry about it, just sit back and enjoy whatever you want to watch no matter the aspect ratio.

Screen burn in hasn’t been an issue since a few years now. I think we’ve moved past that era.

Not according to that article, it was only written December 2019 and it’s referring to OLED.
However the article does go on to say:

Burn-in is possible with OLED, but not likely with normal use.

Most "burn-in" is actually image retention, which goes away after a few minutes.

You'll almost certainly see image retention long before it becomes permanent burn-in.

Generally speaking, burn-in is something to be aware of, but not worry about.
