I can view most video clips on the web through Safari accept for sites that I usually watch on my brother's computer which runs Windows Internet explorer.
why is it that I can see the video clips on a web page on Internet explorer when I use his computer but when I open it on my Mac I cant see them??
I tried dowloading Internet explorere on my Mac but it didnt work.
I hate it that I cant see certain videos on sites using Safari....why is that???what can I do to solve it???
Thanks!

First off Internet Explorer will not work on Mac. Seriously nobody wants that horrible browser.

I know Internet Explorer sucks but I have no choice....I downloaded Mozilla and the video clips still don't work....HELP!!!

the website is probably using specific codecs for its videos that aren't installed on the mac by default. you will need to obtain a player that can play them, such as VLC.

I have VLC but thats different. the videos Im trying to watch are on the site itself I dont have to download them to see them.

Yup: get Flip4Mac
It's codecs for quicktime to view certain formats. Some people also install Perian.

I have that also and its great but thats different....its for video files....my problem is watching the videos on this specific site...it has to do with the way they upload it. because you can only watch it with Internet Explorer :(
maby there is no solution for this problem on a mac....thanks anyways:rolleyes:

your computer needs certain codecs to be able to play videos, even when the videos are streaming directly on a webpage. Go download Flip4Mac and your problems should be solved.
