watchOS 4.1 Update Error

I’ve been trying to update to watchOS 4.1 and after getting stuck for a long period of time of not processing I rebooted both the watch and iPhone to start over. Now I can’t even start trying to downloading it because it saying there’s a software error. Any ideas of what I can do to troubleshoot or is it maybe just Apple servers overwhelmed?

Edit: it appears after restarting the phone for the 4th time that it may be working

I had this happen with an s0. If it doesn't work for you, wipe the watch and start fresh.

if my watch is stuck on update (two bars left on that circle) am I screwed?

watch app crashed on my X, but its still showing the apple logo and that circle on my series 1

is this processed so slow??
