What do we think? Will this be the last Watch OS update supported for the Series 1?

I kinda wish I hadn't taken advantage of the Walmart deal for the Series 1 for $179 this summer.

It’s difficult to say. It shares the same exact processor As the Series 2, I would expect it maybe to be supported through watchOS 6. But with all the watchOS incremental changes and additions every year, it’s really difficult to say for sure. As a metric, the first GEN watch was supported for four versions of watchOS, which I would expect approximately the same for the Series 1/Series 2.

Good info. Thanks. So this would be the second version for the Series 1, or third?

The Series 1 Launched September 22nd, 2017, so I would suspect at least for the Series 1/2 to be supported through WatchOS 6,which might be the last version, but it’s difficult to say.
