watchOS 5 running stats

So, after my first outdoor run with watchOS 5, I like having the new information of rolling mile and cadence, but gracious the text is small on a 38mm series 3.

They made the animation at the top of the screen larger, which wastes space. I don’t need a big green man running on my screen. Unfortunately, I think I’ll have to turn off one of the stats to make it more readable. Bummer. Guess I’ll have to wait until I get a Watch with a bigger screen to use that many stats.

It's completely useless, the old layout was easier to read.

Did an indoor workout today, and even with just the normal metrics of before, the font is much smaller. It’s feeling to me like they really just didn’t put much care into how the UI was going to work on anything but the Series 4.

I actually used to intentionally use the Apple workout app because the font was easier to read quickly.
