Not sure how Apple did it, but I was considering upgrading to the Series 6 until I was underwhelmed with the new features, and more importantly, WatchOS 7 made my Series 4 much more responsive and quick! Curious if anyone else is also experiencing this improvement?

Same here. Night in day difference in performance but I do wish they kept force touch. I dont mind it being removed from the phone (well, I dont anymore) but I feel like it makes so much sense on the watch.

Ah, good point! Did they remove Force Touch hardware functionality from the Series 6? I wonder if this is how they crammed that new hardware inside as well as improved brightness for always-on and battery life. Even if this is the case, it sucks that they removed the functionality from older hardware like the Series 4 and 5.

The UI on the S5 is now significantly faster and snappier thanks to the reduced animations. Feels like going from the S0 to S5, amazing update :)

They removed waiting for double click before proceeding, when pressing the crown. That is why, it is more responsive.

I don't think that is the reason at all. I actually liked the old "force" touch to Clear all Notifications. But even my Series 3 is much faster in other operations like app switching and screen scrolling. Looks like WatchOS 7 for the win. And the new Battery health function in the "Settings" is a great addition.

I was JUST coming here to find a thread to post into the same info... and here we are!

yes I just did the WOS7 update last night on my nike Watch Series 4 and yes, noticed how fast the between app movement is, in the apps viewer how snappy it moves around the icons, and even app opening seems faster.. I love it when an update really enhances even some of these little things.

Still getting a Series 6, but happy that the 4 has gotten better.. Nice job apple!
