The next obvious question will be when will they drop support for Series 3? Considering they'll be selling them right up until the announcement of the series 6 at the very least, I'm guessing the series 3 will be supported through at least watchOS 9, perhaps even 10.

There are no watch Public Betas, because a user cannot downgrade in the case of issues.
