WatchOS 8 notification issue

after updating to watchOS 8, notifications don’t present properly on my watch. A notification comes through, I look at my watch and it only shows the app the notification is coming from, as opposed to before where it first showed the app and then the notification. Now it just shows the icon before disappearing. I have to actively press the screen to see the notification?! Why. I’ve toggled all notification settings on/off on both iPhone and watch and have restarted them without luck. Wtf is going on?

I’ve tried toggle that both on and off. Besides, doesn’t leaving that toggle on mean that the notification will show the full notification?

I have the same issue. Curious too.

Swipe down dismiss is very glitchy also

Leaving that on and you will have to tap the watch to see full notification.

I think it’s been resolved, somehow.
