Ever since updating to watchOS 9.2, the battery on my S7 has tanked... prior to the update, I would end the day with 30-35% battery left... but since, it's been under 10%... anyone else?

Right there with you, series 5 owner, same situation… On 9.1 was ending my days with 65-70%, yesterday ended with 26%, and today at 3p PST already down to 62%!

When did you update...yesterday? This always happens. I have two recommendations:

1) Stop obsessing over the battery
2) Wait a few days before making any conclusions

^^^ THIS!
when I have seen this behavior (not for every upgrade) typically re-booting the watch after 5-7 days took care of this.
And I don't see anything unusual with battery life on my Ultra since 9.2

It’s not obsessing, it’s a real issue. Had to turn off ‘always on’, a feature that I have come to rely on… and instead, I have to turn on low power mode. It’s a REAL impact.

My Apple Watch Ultra now used a few more % in sleep tracking. I can imagine the impact to regular Apple Watches

Have to say my S7 has started acting strange with this latest update.
Prior to 9.2 I could easily go a day and some on a charge… However, after updating the watch was at 100% but come 6 hours later and I noticed the battery down to 46%.
Back on the charger early evening but again come midnight it was down again to just over 50%.
Again back on the charger to again 100%…. Woke up at 7am and it’s again down to half full.

I charged my S8 to 100% at 3:29pm yesterday(Thursday). It’s now 2:10pm Friday at 66%.

Yours seems normal, but my S7 after 24hrs (no always on display) is running about 25%. Before the ungrade it would have 56% power after 24hrs. I’d did reboot watch and phone and it’s been a couple days. This hasn’t happened on any of the other updates in the past. Something has changed:(

Same here. Dramatically bad battery life following the 9.2 update. I've never had battery issues on my watch (this one is a Series 8). Following the update, the battery's not lasting a full day. Prior to the update, it would last almost a day and a half.

Ultra user here - seeing normal battery life.

If a hard reset didn’t fix it, I’d recommend re-pairing next time you have time. I’ve repaired several times recently (prior to getting my Ultra) and was surprised how painless it was and everything came back (I had to do this because I had to reset my phone a few times).

I've noticed this too, immediately following my 9.2 update - a sudden and very noticeable decrease in battery life.

It was lasting two days, now I have to charge several times in a day! It's crazy!

Same here. Ultra owner.

For no reason the watch goes into cellular mode randomly and that’s what I think kills the battery.

I think I fixed the problem by unpairing the watch, rebooting the phone, and then re-pairing the watch. I say "fixed", but the battery life has certainly improved.
