I've read one thread saying that the WatchOS 8 Beta basically killed their watch, but I'd like to hear from a few more people about how it's running. I have iOS 15 running on my iPhone and iPad, and the problem is that if I'm in any focus mode, it sets the watch to 'Do Not Disturb'. If I turn off DND on my Watch, it turns off the focus mode on the phone/iPad. So to actually get this to work and not be stupid, I guess I have to be running WatchOS 8.

I'm willing to put up with quite a number of bugs on my phone, but I think I'd be more annoyed if the Watch was in a really bad state or ran out of battery after just a few hours. I didn't realize there would be this conflict between the phone and watch with the focus modes. I'm reporting it as a bug to Apple, but that won't make things any better in the mean time.

It’s running very smoothly on my side. Battery was awful the first two days but now it’s almost the same as watchOS 7. No big issues so far.

To people reading this and thinking about upgrading to watchOS 8 beta, please note that there’s NO WAY to restore the Apple Watch to a previous OS.

Works quite fine for me with S4, 5 and 6. Sometimes I need to restart the watch as some Activity notifications don‘t show up. Battery isn‘t really noticably worse than with 7.5

That's a bummer, but fortunately that's not one of my use cases. Still, I'll keep it in mind!

The pinch accessibility feature doesn't seem to work on AW5 and AW4. Not sure if it this feature will only work on the AW6, or they will this open this up to the older AW.

Because I see some videos only the feature is available only on those using AW6.

Just because this beta version is good, doesn't mean the next one will be
sometimes things that have worked get broken in a new version, and you're stuck without features, or with poor performance for a week or two till they come out with the next version.

there was one of the betas of tvOS in the last couple years that broke ATMOS,

I haven’t had any Bluetooth AirPods issues. Im surprised at the misaligned graphics in various screens though. Like this:

Unless you are willing to ship your watch to Apple for downgrade, (should you run into beta problems) I would not install beta on your watch.
Yes. I'd also advice against being a free beta tester on devices you've spent money on

Out of curiosity, is this version still closing the screen after 10 seconds in bedside mode?
