Water Damage iPhone 4

Dropped it in the toilet, but I submerged it in rice since. Anything else I can do? How long should I wait? I don't have high hopes.

Make sure you can turn it off if you can. Also the iphone back plate is easily removed with the proper tools so do that if you can.

I dropped my iPhone 4 in the sink a while ago. Had to replace the dock connector but the rest of the phone worked flawlessly until a water ride at Disneyland... dried it out again and the "broken" volume buttons started working again.

Water damage is the worse. A lot of people say use rice but make sure you are using the tiny rice and not the bigger ones.
