Dear all.
I have a 2019 MacBook Pro 13inch, i5, 16gb RAM, 250GB.

I went to switch the machine on the yesterday and discovered splashed water over the keys. It looks as if the water has sat on the keys overnight with the lid closed.
Long and short, it won’t switch on now.

I’ve tried booting with key combinations but this doesn’t work.

When I plug the power lead in it does still chime, signalling it’s receiving power. So it doesn’t seem totally ‘dead’.

I wondered if the battery may have been drained because of water damage? But, if the battery were drained, would it still sound the chime for the power lead?

And advice or ideas would be much appreciated.
My huge thanks.

Separately, just before i wrote this I removed this connector and accidentally tore the clasp off. The connector still clicks in. I just don’t have the clasp. Will this be a problem?

Again. My huge thanks.
