Water damaged IPhone 4. (FIX ?)

Hi, a friend of me gave me a destroyed(?) Iphone as a joke. He jumped out in a pool with it in his pocket, and it stopped working (no suprise). I plugged it in a power source and i got the loading mark on the screen for 3-4 seconds and then it blacked out (1 week after 8-10 days after the pool). I tought since i got a immage on the screen it's only the battery that's broken, and i probbaly could change it to get a perfectly working Iphone 4, is that possible or is it a bigger problem not possible to fix?

Pull the back off and submerge the entire phone in a container of dry rice for a week.

Unlikely that it will work, but this is your best bet. It probably shorted out already, though.

it's about 2 weeks since it came in contact with water :/ but i'll give it a shot. THX

Take it to Apple store and have them replace it for $149.
