I dropped my iphone in the toilet yesterday, i put it in rice right away. its been 24 hours, so I took it out, everything but the screen work. It vibrates, it makes the charging noise, hell it even slides to unlock and I can hear it do so! Its just the screen is black still. I restored it thinking it would work, it didn't do anything. Should I restore it again? Should I leave it in rice more? Should I replace the screen for $80 or whatever? Should I replace the phone at the apple store (Hoping its free)? Please advise me on what to do. THANKS!:)

bringing it to apple is out of the question, as the water indicators have been tripped. your best bet is to maybe pray its simply the screen and replace it for $80 or so. the digitizer sounds like its working, but the LCD itself isnt. if i were in your shoes, i would try replacing it and hope for the best.

Im in the same situation right now, i went to a iphone repair shop and they actually tried to put a brend new screen on mine to see if the screen still the same as dim/black as was before. but i turned out, it was the motherboard got fired. so im think of changing the motherboard.

anybody with the same experience, please give us some advise, so we can save our iphone.
