My white macbook 7,1 has a broken motherboard after I spilled water on it.
Now I need a laptop but I certainly don't have the cash for a new macbook.
I was wondering a few things.
First of all would it be worth my while buying a motherboard from ebay (180 euros) and fixing it myself? There's a danger that the motherboard isn't the only thing that's broken though.
Also does anyone know where I could possibly buy a broken/used one which I could just switch out the motherboard (Or switch out the parts from mine into the broken one to make it not broken)?

Thanks.

You can buy MacBook's that are being sold for parts/repair on eBay. If you know what you're doing as far as replacing a motherboard I don't see why you wouldn't choose that option over buying a new MacBook, especially if you don't have the money for it currently.
